Montreal is going country! LASSO Montreal celebrates its fifth edition on August 15 and 16, 2026 at Parc Jean-Drapeau, bringing two days of country music, four stages, line dancing, activities, food and western atmosphere to the heart of Montreal.
The celebrations actually begin one day earlier, with LASSO in the City on Friday, August 14, when several Montreal venues will get into the country spirit.

Four stages of country music
Performances will take place across four stages throughout the weekend, ranging from more intimate sets to major performances on the festival’s main stages.
Saturday’s schedule includes Thomas Rhett on the Bell LASSO stage at 9:20 p.m. and Jon Pardi on the Coors Original PRAIRIE stage at 8:10 p.m.
The weekend also features artists including The Band Perry, Max McNown and many more country performers.

LASSO in the City starts the party on August 14
You don’t have to wait until Saturday to pull out your cowboy boots.
On Friday, August 14, LASSO in the City will bring country atmosphere to several locations across Montreal.
Five participating venues include:

- Double’s
- Brasseur de Montréal
- Bon Délire
- Spaghetti Western
Expect live performances, workshops, line dancing, DJs, special menus and free activities.
One person at each participating venue will also have the opportunity to win a pair of tickets to LASSO Montreal.

How to get to LASSO Montreal
By metro
The metro is the recommended way to reach Parc Jean-Drapeau.
Take the Yellow Line to Jean-Drapeau station, located near the festival site.
One important tip: purchase your return fare before arriving at the festival to avoid long lines at the ticket machines after the final performances.

What bags are allowed at LASSO?
LASSO limits the size of bags allowed onto the festival site. Organizers strongly encourage clear bags to help speed up security screening.
Clear bags
Clear backpacks, purses and bags may measure no more than:
30 cm x 30 cm x 23 cm (12 in x 12 in x 9 in).
Small non-clear bags
Small purses, waist bags and non-clear fanny packs may measure no more than:
23 cm x 15 cm x 10 cm (9 in x 6 in x 4 in).
Hydration packs
Hydration packs are permitted provided they are empty when entering and pass security inspection.
Exceptions may be made for medically necessary items.
Yes, you can bring a chair!
One feature that makes LASSO different from many Montreal festivals is that you can bring your own camping chair.
A designated chair area will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Lounge chairs made entirely of metal or hard plastic and chairs equipped with umbrellas are not permitted.
Once your chair is set up in the designated area, it must remain there until you leave the festival.

The popular Ford Line Dancing Tent returns for 2026.
Between performances, festivalgoers can practice their moves and experience one of the activities that gives LASSO its distinctive country atmosphere.

Festivalgoers arriving when the gates open can get the party started early at the LASSO Hideout.

Near the Bell LASSO stage, food options include:

Coat check and storage
A paid coat check and storage service will be available at the entrance and inside the festival during operating hours.
Items cannot be stored for the entire weekend. Storage is valid for one day only.
Accessibility
Since 2024, the LASSO Montreal site has been certified by Kéroul as providing full access for people with reduced mobility.
Accessibility measures include:
- designated areas for people with reduced mobility and their companions;
- lowered counters;
- adapted tables;
- accessible washrooms;
- adapted signage;
- an information kiosk.
Safety and well-being
GRIP Montréal will once again be present at the festival to provide harm-reduction support related to psychoactive substance use.

Water and sustainability
Brita filtered-water stations will allow festivalgoers to refill reusable water bottles. Permanent Parc Jean-Drapeau drinking fountains will also be available.
